Reviews and Ratings
Upon arrival, I found the hotel's location very convenient for exploring Wexford and its surrounding attractions. The staff, from Lucy at reception to the bar and dining room teams, were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Despite some issues due to understaffing, their effort to make us feel at home did not go unnoticed. The room was initially cold, and we had to request extra pillows, but the team promptly moved us to a warmer room with a balcony as per our request. The dining experience was top-notch, although slightly hectic at times. Overall, a great stay with valuable amenities, just a few areas for improvement.
The hotel room was excellent size-wise for a family, but it was uncomfortably warm. The bar food on the first day was a mix of experiences - the lasagne was terrible, while my husband enjoyed his meal, but the kids' food was cold. There was an issue with the room size, initially unable to access the bed due to two beds crammed in a tiny space. After a room change to one with more beds than booked, it was clean and fresh.
The hotel offered spacious and spotless rooms with comfortable beds and hot baths, although some overlooked the courtyard. The service was friendly and helpful, with delicious bar food and a large room with a balcony. However, the location was a bit isolated, about an hour's walk from town. Dining was enjoyable overall, with some room for improvement in breakfast options.
The hotel provided a clean and well-presented room with a mix of double and single beds, however, facing issues with room keys was a minor inconvenience. The staff was accommodating when asked for a quieter room for the return stay.
